Lyfe Journey Unfolding recognizes that our mission is a huge undertaking, so our team is dedicated to partnering with other organizations to meet the immediate critical needs while we build our resources. For the past three years, LJU has hosted various initiatives to provide food, mental health resources, transportation, and clothing for the unhoused. We are proud to say that we have impacted over 2,000+ families and individuals. With your help, we plan to double that number next year.

Meet Our Founder
Freda “Fre Fre” Ballard is a powerhouse leader and community advocate whose impact extends across multiple roles: a dedicated professional, entertainer, motivational speaker, and event planner. Renowned for her ability to inspire and empower others, Freda delivers compelling messages encouraging her audience to unlock their full potential.
In addition to her motivational endeavors, Freda is the visionary behind Lyfe Journey Unfolding (LJU), a nonprofit she founded in 2021 to address homelessness. With a deep commitment to serving those who are often voiceless in society, Freda has led LJU in providing critical resources and support to help the unhoused regain their independence and thrive.
Freda’s drive to create positive change stems from her life journey. Growing up in Dallas, she faced significant challenges. Her experiences led her to reconnect with her spirituality in her early twenties and fueled her passion for making a difference through LJU.
Under Freda’s leadership, LJU has collaborated with various organizations to meet the immediate needs of the unhoused, offering services like food, mental health resources, transportation, and clothing. In just three years, LJU has positively impacted over 2,000 families and individuals, demonstrating Freda’s unwavering dedication to her mission
